Sonic X Shadow Generations is already one of the best rated Sonic games of recent years.
It's global average review score currently sits at 82, which is higher than Sonic Superstars, Sonic Origins, Sonic Frontiers and Team Sonic Racing, to name a few.
61% of these initial reviews fall within the 80s, with 0 less than 60, although no top scoring 100s yet either.
82 is a great score when looking at other platformers released so far this year, it puts Sonic X Shadow Generations 5th in relation to it's peers.
We're expecting more reviews to come in over the next few days as we pass the launch date, there have been no reviews for the Switch version yet, so it's current standings could change.
