The first 26 weeks of 2024 have seen the same publishers continually fill the Top 10 when counting the global number of headlining press articles, however, their positions have changed!

The year started off with Ubisoft ahead, this is partly an overspill from December which saw Avatar Frontiers of Pandora released, but there was also plenty of coverage for Prince of Persia The Lost Crown which released on on 18th January, however, Ubisoft didn't stay up there for long. By week 3, Bandai Namco, thanks to Tekken 8 had taken the top spot and Ubisoft had dropped to 4th. Week 4 and SIE takes pole position and there it stays!

We've seen 2 State of Plays and several releases from Sony during the first half of this year which have helped to maintain their number 1 spot. The Last of Us part 2 remastered, Rise of the Ronin and Stellar Blade have all contributed, although Helldivers 2 is largely responsible.

The other two first parties haven't seen the same level of headlining press coverage, Nintendo consistently spends most of the time around mid table, Xbox Game Studios on the other hand has spent most of this year so far in the bottom half of the table, predominantly in 9th.
