So far 2024 has seen a wealth of brand new titles, DLC’s and continuing franchises perform strongly across press, social and commercial metrics. Just looking at last week we can see a good variety of games gaining huge viewing figures on Twitch, across both livestreams and VOD. We've done comparison TOP 10s to show the top viewed titles overall but also the Top 10 viewed games released so far this year.
Interestingly, our data for 2024 only releases show that over half the titles in the Top 10 are original IP’s, showcasing audience and streamer interest in completely new franchises.
For all titles last week it was no surprise to see high audience interest for Elden Ring and its new DLC, Shadow of Erdtree. RPG title Dark and Darker is worth noting, it stands out with a respectable 8th position beating regular top 10 title CS:GO.
