Following on from Wednesday's PR focused infographic, we're now looking at which Game Awards nominees have resonated strongly enough with social users for them to stop and actively engage in some way with a relevant post.
Meaning they've liked, shared, commented...not just scrolled past.
Dating from the end of the nomination steam on Monday to midday today, Friday 21st Nov, we can see that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 takes the top spot once again.
We've included how many nominations each title has received so you can see if more nominations mean more social interaction!
Interactions on posts about Megabonk, which received just a single nomination, were bolstered by the developer withdrawing it. He felt it shouldn't qualify as a debut game, having released games before with other studios. This has pushed Megabonk up to 5th place compared to other nominees, so whether he meant it or not, it gave the game's organic marketing and awareness a boost.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is the 2nd most nominated title with 7 nominations in total. This initially drove press coverage making it the 2nd most covered title in those first 24 hours, but it hasn't gained as much traction with social users compared to many of the other nominees.
