We were lucky enough to get both a PlayStation State of Play and an Xbox Developer Direct in January. We saw video game titles such as Death Stranding 2 On The Beach, Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and many more being announced at the respective shows.
We have taken data from the top performing 5 titles from each showcase for press and social to see who comes out on top.
There are interesting discoveries especially on YouTube where Xbox titles have out performed those featured at the state of play. However, when it came to their press coverage it is slightly lower in comparison seeing state of play titles outperforming. This became a real battle of the console showcases and is positive to see healthy competition in our video game industry.
