As we approach the end of a crazy couple of weeks of captivating showcases and game announcements, Fancensus has been cranking through the data to see which games had the most impact.

Looking at activities, engagement and sentiment across all the major video and social media platforms, along with press and AI visibility, and across all titles (not just those featured in showcases), Sony Interactive Entertainment's God of War: Laufey was the most impactful, hitting home across the board after its State of Play Reveal.

Epic Games Fortnite’s appearance at Summer Game Fest, combined with the constant engagement amongst its huge player base saw it come in at #2, ahead of IO Interactive's 007 First Light, with a new story DLC announcement at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest and post-launch buzz.

The only non-showcase featured title in the top 15 was Rockstar Games' GTA VI, with the sheer pre-release hype transcending showcase activity.

However, showcase featured titles have dominated the buzz in the last couple of weeks, even amongst indie & mid-tier titles. Unknown Worlds Entertainment's Subnautica 2 and Yacht Club Games' Mina the Hollower were amongst only a handful of games in the top 15 of this tier-type that weren’t in an event.
