Elden Ring announced its Shadow of Erdtree DLC releasing later this year. So we took the opportunity to compare its press and social performance against Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty, Resident Evil 4 Remake - Separate Ways and Horizon: Forbidden West - Burning Shores to see which title came out on top.
We also compared review scores of every title so far released in 2024 to see how Indie titles performed against some widely marketed video games. The data revealed some interesting results seeing Indie titles in genres outperforming some major titles in critical review score.
